The screenshot attached to this post shows that you have the wrong BBC Radio.m3u file in the BBC Radio folder. It should be the file that Windows Explorer is identifying as being of a Winamp type.
I also noticed that you have selected MP3 for the stream type in the Roberts dialog. The BBC HLS streams are AAC, not MP3. Does the Roberts dialog allow you to select AAC for the stream type?
Hi Simon - this is why I think I may be missing something that's blindingly obvious to most here...
In the instructions....
3. Create a plain text file named BBC Radio.m3u in this folder (with Windows Notepad, select ANSI). You can download a sample version of this file from this link. This sample file lists all the BBC national HLS AAC UK streams in the best available sound quality. After downloading this sample file, remember to rename it to BBC Radio.m3u and make sure it has been saved as a plain text file and not some other format such as RTF (with Windows Notepad, select ANSI).
So do I save it as a "plain text file" or an m3u file? (I had it saved an an m3u file earlier and that didn't work either, but at least we can eliminate that).

Hi yes it was in the Programs folder originally but as that wasn't working I tried moving it to the BBC Radio folder with no success. I've moved it back now.
Anyhow I had a tinker and I am now seeing a playlist file on my radio, in the minimserver folder, presumably progress? But it still won't stream anything. I'll try reebooting everything and see if that magically sorts it!

But doesn't that clash with: "It should be the file that Windows Explorer is identifying as being of a Winamp type."?
Sorry this is such hard work, but I just can't get it to work.

All .m3u files must be in plain text format in order for them to work as media playlists. There is no contradiction between the file being in plain text format and Windows Explorer identifying its filetype (.m3u) as being associated with Winamp.

So (see screenshot) does this look right?
edit - somethings happening as the log is now reporting duplicate streams. Does that give any clue?

This means you have two copies of the .m3u file in your contentDir folder(s). To fix it, delete one of these files and select Rescan from the minim icon.
If the stream isn't playing after this, it probably means you have the wrong stream URL setting in the radio.

Ok guys, sorry for the delay, been busy this last week. Cracking (UK) bank holiday weather as ever!
I've now uninstalled & re-installed minimserver / added the streamer package, re-launched, saved the m3u file in C:\BBC Radio etc. I've double checked the URL for each station. (See screeny).
I set up the pertinent stations on the Frontier Silcon interface and my radio is "finding" the named stations. I can select (e.g) "BBC Radio 5 Live HLS" on my radio, it goes to connect / loading / re-connecting, then hangs...
This is clearly never going to work as intended (for me). Is there a work-around? I did wonder whether I could enter a more detailed URL for instance?

my radio is now recognising a playlist. Can I get rid of the .txt file? (there was no playlist when only this file was there).
