Now back to the playlist. I cleared off the playlist folders from the NAS and they do not show up in Kinsky. Do I use Playlist creator or JRiver to create a playlist with to start? Or what would you like me to try?

It is up to you to decide whether to create the playlist in JRiver and convert the backslashes using Playlist Creator, or do the whole thing in Playlist Creator. I would expect it to be simpler to do the whole thing in Playlist Creator.

OK I will give it another try. Playlist creator will create the proper / is that correct or do I use a text editor after the playlist is created? I have never used Word or Note Pad to do the back slash to front slash conversion so if you have any suggestions I would appreciate it.

You need to use the two options in Playlist Creator that I mentioned in an earlier post: use forward slashes and use relative paths.

So I used Playlist creator to create my new Sade playlist. I pulled the songs into Playlist creator exactly the same way and only 4 of the 7 songs show up. In the log I see the ../ instead of ./ is this why the songs do not show up? Please see the attachment.
Error: playlist Sade Playlist.m3u: unknown file ../Sade/Soldier of Love/02 Sade - Soldier of Love.flac
If this is the problem why is this happening when I pulled the songs into the playlist exactly the same way. How do I edit the incorrect ../Sade/Soldier of Love/02 Sade - Soldier of Love.flac
and insert it into the Sade playlist?

Do I choose Absolute, without drive (e.g /MyMusic/MySong.mp3 ?
See attached. I hope this is not changing my FLAC file!

I just tried again to create a new playlist. Nothing shows up. Yesturday at least 4 of the 7 songs showed up using this method.
