You should be able to work around this problem by opening a Terminal window and running this command from your MinimWatch installation directory:
./minimwatch/bin/startc
This starts a console version of MinimWatch that does not attempt to create a tray icon. It should detect and install MinimWatch update 112 and then relaunch. After the relaunch, type 'exit' to exit the console version. You can now start the graphical version of MinimWatch and the tray icon should appear.
Just to let you know, I won't be able to do much more with this for about a week from now.

Thanks for your patience with this. I will set up a test environment here and check why this isn't working as expected.

Thanks for this. I am making good progress with solving both problems (the failure to process automatic updates and the GNOME/Java issue). I should be able to release an update soon with fixes for these.

I now have a test build that enables the tray icon to be created but it has an issue that I am still investigating. The issue is that the icon appears on the menu bar but it cannot be clicked until some other icon on the menu bar has previously been clicked. If you would like to try an interim test build that has this limitation, please let me know.

Even when it worked in the past on 22.04 I've always found I had to click to the side of the icon before it behaved as it should, giving the options menu.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was also needing to click to the side of the icon when running MinimServer on 22.04 with what should be the same fix. Trying this just now, the MinimServer icon doesn't work even when I click to the side first. More investigation is needed before this is ready for release....

Minimwatch icon is working for me provided I click to the side first.
