The new functionality is described on this page.
The settings that you posted (including stream.transcode) show that you have already been using MinimStreamer to transcode local files. You can also use MinimStreamer to play radio streams and transcode them. I will check this out with the Naim HD streams (if I can find the URLs for these streams).
I am not sure why browsing is now much faster for you but I am pleased that you are pleased!
