What machine are you using to run MinimServer? How is this machine connected to your network (wired Ethernet, wireless, powerline adapter)? What renderer are you using and how is this connected to your network?
If you stop Humberside when it is playing OK and start Tees immediately, does this work?
I'm using an MSi U100 Plus laptop to run MinimServer with no other programs running apart from AVG. This is connected via wired Ethernet to the router and thence by Powerline to the receiver which is an Onkyo TX-NR636. I am still getting dropouts so have set the HLS delay to 5 to see how that works. On initial start-up the chosen station will not connect but after it settles on a station I can then easily select another.
Do you think I should disable AVG on the laptop?

I suspect the problem might be related to your powerline connection. Can you try bypassing this with a long Ethernet cable as a test to see if this improves things?
You could also try disabling AVG as a test. This might be the reason why the MinimServer processing for the first connection seemed to take an unusually long time.
From what I see in the log, I doubt that adding or changing the delayHLS setting would make any difference.
