RE: Files not seen by server NAS - mclev - 26-06-2015 01:46 Converting with dBpoweramp worked like a charm. Thanks. Nice to make progress and learn a few things along the way. Still wrestling with the recycle issue in QNAP. My top level folder is Multimedia. Within that file I have my own next level files: one for 16 bit and one for 24 bit. I plan to add others later. Within these are my music folders and files. I see in QNAP you can disable the recycle bins, but nowhere can I find anything that just turns off scanning of those folders. I see the @recycle folder under the Multimedia folder. Anyway you know to keep MinimServer from scanning these? Nice to make progress and learn a few things along the way. I presume you currently have /share/Multimedia as your contentDir setting. You need to use MinimWatch to change this to /share/Multimedia/Mark_16 bit and /share/Multimedia/Mark_24 bit (multiple values for contentDir). With these settings, the files in /share/Multimedia/@Recycle won't be scanned as part of your library. RE: Files not seen by server NAS - mclev - 26-06-2015 13:43 I'm wondering if my installation of MinimWatch is wrong somehow. On my computer the only access I have to it is to right click the tray icon where I can see the log, stop, restart, properties, etc. If I try to open the desktop icon nothing opens. Based on your direction to use MinimWatch to change the content directory, should I be seeing some kind of MinimWatch dashboard from which I can make that change? Or should I just do that from Windows Explorer? Or should I just do that from Windows Explorer? There is no problem with your installation. When you select Properties from the tray icon, you will get a "Dashboard" that enables you to change the contentDir property. After entering the new values, click OK and then click Rescan from the tray icon. |
