Good morning,

finally I was able to download the file and store it on the Diskstation in the necessary location ('public' folder).

Installing and configuring MinimServer was fast and easy. I works wonderful and fast.

Many thanks for your help.

I'm having the same problem as Hugh Jampton:

- the Patters-package requests ejdk.8u101-linux-arm-sflt.tar.gz
- Oracle gives me ejdk.8u111-linux-arm-sflt.tar.gz.

Now I can't get the java package to start...

Nas is a Synology DS212+, DSM6

I'm attempt to installe Java 8.
I have followed this tuto but after i have downloaded the correct package and have installed java 8, packet stay on "stopped".

Which package is stopped? Is it Java 8 or MinimServer?

Did the Java 8 installation give you any error messages?

Java Package.
It's worked before but now with the last update that dont works.
And i have no error message...
My Nas is a 212j arm 5 and package java 8 101.

The Java SE Embedded 8 package is maintained by patters. You should be able to contact him by posting a comment to this page.

It's probably my was because i have the same problem with PHP 5.6 grrr

I'm running DSM 3.1 on a 207+ NAS. When I try to upload the Java tar.gz package in Package Management, I get the error message "Invalid file format". Any hints on how to make it work?
