I just switched from Linn to Cyrus streamer and installed BubbleUPNP as the control point.
I can now play all the flac albums already on my QNAP server, and have now added some new mp3 albums, but these area not seen in Bubble connected to QNAP Minimserver 2 to play on my Cyrus.
Bubble can see and play the mp3 on Bubble using the Sonos 1 app / speaker linked direct to the same QNAP Multimedia folder which Minimserver uses even having hit the refresh button and waiting 24 hours
Am I doing something wrong or missing something?

You need to do a MinimServer rescan, not a refresh. After the rescan has completed (this should take only a minute or two), you might need to refresh/reload your MinimServer library in BubbleUPnP.

Is there not a periodic auto-rescan and can I adjust this?

MinimServer doesn't have a way to do scheduled periodic rescans. People generally prefer to see and play new music immediately after adding it, not wait a few hours for the next scheduled rescan. Also, most platforms (but unfortunately not QNAP) have a task scheduler that can be used to do periodic rescans if desired.

As my new material had not appeared after 48 hours, it looks like there is no instant rescan, so what do I need to do?
You just need to rescan Minimserver library every time you add/modify content

I cannot find in the version I have loaded on my Samsung A52, the rescan option in the Bubblesoft picture that you provided.
Can you help with the path in BubblesoftUpnp to reach the Minimserver rescan option?
