As a big fan of Minimserver, I am installing Minimserver on my neighbor's QNAP nas.

However I get the following error:
MinimServer start error: /etc/init.d/minimserver.sh: line 84: /usr/local/jre/bin/java: cannot execute binary file

and then:
MinimServer status set to disabled.

With minimwatch I can't see the actual log and in the /share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/MinimServer I can't find it either.

Any suggestions?

(QNAP TS-569L 3.8.3 Build 20130426 and minimserver 0.7.2)

It sounds like you have the wrong version of Java installed (Java ARM on an x86 NAS, or Java x86 on an ARM NAS).
Yes indeed... followed the install guide to the letter :-(.
Thanks for the fast response!!! Minimserver is running!!!
