Sorry for my bad english

Dear Minimserver specialists,

I have just discovered the Minimserver and have installed it well on my Windows 10 PC also on my synology diskstation. I can also access my music collection via the app (HifiCast or BuppleUpNp), but not without errors: Some albums are not displayed and obviously those that appear more than once in a folder (with other artists or album artists). Since I listen almost exclusively to classical music, my music collection is stored as follows: In a folder "MUSIC COLLECTION" there are numerous subfolders according to "COMPOSER NAME", including all works consisting of one track and further subfolders for works consisting of several tracks, i.e. e.g.
[attachment=2320]

The result is that I find "Mozart" under COMPONIST in the app, then "Rondo KV 296" under ALBUM. But only once with the cover by Oistrakh. If I click on the album, however, there are 2 tracks underneath (i.e. also the other recording with Szeryng).

How do I get Minimserver to list the same album names within a folder with different performers also individually under the composer?

I would prefer Minimserver to list each album (whether in the composer folder itself or in subfolders) alphabetically according to the ID3 tags in the hierarchy composer - album - artist or album performer when I click on COMPOSER in the app.

Mozart --> Requiem
Rondo KV 269 (with Oistrakh)
Rondo KV 269 (with Szeryng)
Symphony 40 (with Böhm)
Symphony 40 (with Karajan)
Other works

In my case, each work is tagged as an "album".
Is that possible at all with Minimserver? And if so, what do I have to set and how?

I hope I could make the problem clear and someone will take care of it. Thanks in advance for all attempts to help here.
Best regards
Rhapsode
If you select Composer > Mozart, you should see an index with "n albums" as the first entry (n will be a number). Select this index entry to see all Mozart albums by all performers.
Thank you. But unfortunately this only shows the Mozart albums that are in their own folder, not those that consist of only one file [one track] in the Main-Folder "MOZART". It should be possible for all albums to be displayed under Mozart - Albums.
Isn't there a way to set Minimserver to get all album information from the ID3 tag "ALBUM"?
My music collection, like that of many classical music lovers, is tagged so that the ID3 tag ALBUM corresponds to the corresponding work of the composer. ALBUM = Mozart - Rondo KV 269
With the Raumfeld Music Server, for example, all albums [ID3 tag Album] with all artists [ID3 tag Interpret and Albuminterpret] are listed under each composer [ID3 tag Composer].
MinimServer treats files in the same folder with the same Album tag as belonging to the same album. When files are in different folders and have the same Album tag, they may or may not be treated as belonging to the same album depending on other tags (Artist, AlbumArtist, DiscNumber and DiscSubtitle) and the mergeFolderAlbums property setting. See this section for details.

The problem you are seeing would not arise if you were using the Work tag for your works instead of the Album tag. You can try this by setting the aliasTags property to Album:Work and adding Work to the indexTags property. With these settings, selecting the Work index should show the results you are expecting.
Thank you, this does indeed list the single-movement works correctly under the composer, but unfortunately the multi-movement works - which are in their own subfolders - are no longer displayed as one album or work, but only as individual movements. Instead of Symphony No. 40, for example
1. Allegro molto
2. andante
3. Menuetto
4. Allegro

MinimServer uses the Group tag to combine multiple movements into a single item. If you add the Group tag to these movements (set Group to the same as Album for all four movements), this should fix the problem.
Thank you for your help and work but that would mean re-tagging thousands of albums in my music collection. That is a pity that I cannot use your really otherwise fast and good programme for me.
You can do this wthout retagging by setting aliasTags to Album:Group instead of Album:Work and changing Work in indexTags to Group:Work. This should show what you want for both single-movement works and multi-movement works.
Thank you but what am I doing wrong? All albums and works are displayed correctly under Composer, but as at the beginning, works with the same name consisting of only one file - one track - are not listed. Here are my settings
These settings are correct. Are there any messages in tbe MinimServer log relating to Group tags? Can you post a screenshot showing the incorrect display for a sample composer?
