I'm trying to sort the albums in the album list by date added to library. To achieve this, I created a custom ID3 tag to all my music, TXX:ADDED, which contains the raw file creation date. The format is number of seconds since epoch (i.e. 1523545412).
To sort the album view in Minimserver, I've set up:
Code:
itemTags: ADDED
tagValue: Album.value.sort={ADDED}
This unfortunately doesn't work.
The log is also full of warnings like:
Code:
Warning: Ignoring conflicting custom value for ALBUM tag 'Be With You' in file DJ Aligator/Be With You/03. DJ Aligator Feat. Sarah West - Be With You (Steffwell And Freisig Remix).mp3
applied sort value is '1523543879'; conflicting sort value is '1523498877'
I could use some assistance on this. Thanks in advance!
You are getting this error because different files with the same ALBUM tag have different (conflicting) values for the ADDED tag.
It should work if you use Album.sortTags instead of Album.value.sort.

Thanks, that made the warning messages go away indeed. However the albums are still not sorted by creation time, but alphabetically.
This might be because your control point overrides the sort order sent by MinimServer. Which control point are you using?

I've tried BubbleUPnP, foobar2000 and VLC
Please post the complete exact value of your tagOptions property.
You need to make BubbleUPnP reload the MinimServer library to see the updated sort order. To make absolutely sure this has happened, first do a rescan in MinimServer, then do a reload in BubbleUPnP.
Also, are you looking at the "n albums" list or have you created an Album index by adding Album to indexTags?

This is my configuration:
Code:
.autoUpdate = false
.configVersion = 0.7.205
minimserver.monitorUDN = 3f20ce2b-87b7-462d-8638-74ca97089780
minimserver.udn = eedec491-cb54-4173-9a09-27012d236cab
minimserver.lastIndexTags = Albums, Artist\:Album Artists, Date, Genre, All Artists
minimserver.systemUpdateID = 19
minimserver.previousAlbumArtistDisplayRole = true
minimserver.tagCustom = AlbumArtist.displayRole\={artist}
minimserver.configVersion = 0.8.305
minimserver.license = 0.8.1
minimserver.contentDir = /srv/media/Music
minimserver.checkedUpdates = minimserver-0.8.5.jmupd\nminimserver-0.8-update-124;1534858916255
minimserver.displayName = MinimServer
minimserver.indexTags = Albums, Artist\:Album Artists, Date, Genre, All Artists
minimserver.itemTags = ADDED
minimserver.lastItemTags = ADDED
.logLevel = info
minimserver.tagOptions = Album.sortTags\={ADDED}
.integrityCheck = 2f1b65083b69cf244cb09e71d6b67fc8e
I have done a rescan on minimserver, and a reload on BubbleUPnP. The albums are still sorted by artist.
I've also created an Album indexTag, but only "n albums" is showing up.
Thanks for this. What happens if you change Album.sortTags={ADDED} to Album.sortTags={Date}?
