Full Version: Pure Vinyl Rips AIFF not recognized

I am testing a vinyl digitizing application on my Mac, using Pure Vinyl. It creates 96/24 AIFF files. When I copy these into my folder for Minimserver and rescan they do not show up (I use the Naim app for my streamers). If I use XLD and transcode the files to WAV they appear. I have copied a portion of the log file and pasted below. The only pertinent lines are in the second grouping and include Level 42 AIFF. I do not understand what the error is and what I can do differently without having to transcode. Thanks

These messages probably mean that Pure Vinyl is creating AIFF files in an incorrect format. Please upload one of these files to my FTP server and I will check the file and confirm whether this is the problem. Because of server space and upload/download bandwidth constraints, please upload only one file, for example AIFF/Running in the Family/01 Lessons In Love.aif (length 141787212 bytes). I will PM you the server details. Many thanks!

I have uploaded the requested file.

Thanks! The FORM chunk header length field at the start of the file contains a length field with the value 0x087387A8, which means the chunked data following this length field should be 0x087387A8 bytes long. However, the chunked data following this length field is only 0x08738044 bytes long, so it appears to MinimServer that 1892 bytes (0x764) are missing from the end of the file.

If you let Pure Vinyl know about this problem, they should be able to fix their software to put the correct value in the FORM chunk header length field.
