Hi,

at first I would like to thank you for this great working server.

I have only a slight problem with the order of some (not all) albums when I open them (I put on some screenshots, that show the problem much easier than my discription). If I open the same album with another server (the synology media server), the problem does not occur.

Do you have any ideas, how to solve this problem?

Kind regards,

Kay

Which of these screenshots are showing MinimServer and which of them are showing the Synology media server?
Hi Simon,

the adele album that shows titel No. 4 at first and the ABBA album that shows one of us at first are from the minimserver. The correct ones are from the Synology media server.

Kind regards,
Kay

I don't understand why the track titles are different with the two servers. For example, MinimServer is showing "Turning Tables" as the track title and the other server is showing "04 - Turning Tables/Adele - Live At The Royal Albert Hall" as the track title. Have you used some custom settings for the other server to produce the different track titles?
Dear Simon,

I made some screenshots of the properties of Synology media server (the first two) and also of minim server (the other two). Within the Synology media server one does not have many options.

I ripped all the music with iTunes and used its tagging routine.

I hope that the screenshots help to understand the problem.

Kind regards,
Kay

Thanks for these screenshots.

I think there is some tagging problem with the tracks that are in the wrong position (Turning Tables and One Of Us). These tracks probably have an incorrect or missing TRACKNUMBER tag. Are there any warning messages in the MinimServer log about TRACKNUMBER problems?
Dear Simon,

this is what the logfile shows:

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, it doesn't explain the problem.

Can you use a tagging program to check the TRACKNUMBER and DISCNUMBER tags in the tracks that aren't appearing in the correct position? I think you will find that the TRACKNUMBER tag for One Of Us is either 0 or missing.
Dear Simon,

I checked the tagging with Mp3tag. "One of us" is tagged correctly (I have attached an screenshot).

Also Adele is tagged correctly (see attached file). I have no idea what is wrong.

Kind regards,

Kay

It is possible that the MinimServer cache contains outdated information. To eliminate this possibility, you can set the startupScan property to 'full' and select Rescan from the minim icon. Does this make any difference?
