As I'm not particularly technically minded a friend if mine set up MinimServer on my HP MicroServer NAS running Ubuntu. It worked fine so I had him set up a second server so I now have "Ubuntu" and "Ubuntu2". OK not very inventive I know.
Unfortunately on Cyrus Cadence I can only see one server at a time, say "Ubuntu". If I want to access "Ubuntu2" I have to re-start that server running MinimWatch. That then becomes accessible but the other server isn't.
Any idea why Cadence can only see one Server at a time?
As a further complication, a friend suggested I try the Audionet iMM app, when this is running and Cadence can see "Ubuntu" only, Audionet can see 'Ubuntu2" only!
Help please!

There might be a problem with how the servers were set up. Please post the contents of the minimserver.config files for the Ubuntu and Ubuntu2 servers. Are both these servers running on the same HP MicroServer NAS?

Thank you,
I'll try and get the file to you over the weekend. Yes, they are both running on the same server.

Original and second config files attached.

You have the same minimserver.udn value in both files. This will cause the problems you are seeing.
You shouldn't take the shortcut of creating the second file by copying the first. You should let MinimServer create both files from scratch. This will ensure the files contain unique values for minimserver.udn.
Thank you. I'll give it a try and hopefully that will resolve the issue.

Reloaded this evening. All working fine. Thank you for your help.
Hi! I am new to Minimserver. I have it installed on my netgear ReadyNAS Ultra 2 and it works wonderfully. i would like to have two separate minimservers on the server and it seems as that would work. How do i install the second one?
Thx,
Ax

This isn't supported by the current ReadyNAS installation package. I am hoping to add this as an enhancement in a future release.

ok. Thanks for quick response! I will keep on my PC for now. I want somewhere to learn the server. I find it somewhat difficult to understand how i use the functionality of the server. I use MediaMonkey to manage the music and want to re-tag my classical collection. Do you know of any good descriptions of how to tag classical and how to use the functionality of Minimserver?
