How to delete the cache on a Synology DS-223 NAS
I've having a problem with one album on my Synology DS-223 NAS after removing an album from the file system. Doing a rescan puts an error message in the server log for every tag in each file in the deleted album.
E.g. :- Warning: illegal character 0x00 in TRACKNUMBER tag value in file Choral/Berlioz Requiem/1-01 i Requiem.flac I believe this is because the details for the album are still in the cache. Is there a way of deleting or re-building the cache? Thanks, John JohnT |

I don't understand how this could happen. Is your library on a local disk on the DS223? A normal rescan should detect a deleted album and remove it from the cache.
To rebuild the cache, set the startupScan property to full and then do a rescan. |

Sorry Simon, false alarm. My Minim Server is ok, it's my control point that's playing up which I should be able to sort out.
