IOS data transfer.

I am thinking about replacing my old iMac with a new MacBook Pro.On the iMac the music is currently pointed to my Svnology NAS.I am probably being simplistic but is it just a case of repointing music back to iMac and then doing a direct data transfer from iMac to MacBook Pro.Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you want to leave your music on the Synology NAS? If so, no repointing is needed.

To ensure you don't lose your configuration settings (including your library location), you can export your MinimServer profile from MinimServer running on your iMac and import this profile into the new MinimServer installation running on your MacBook Pro. To do this, use the Profiles tab on the MinimServer configuration web page.
