Sound quality: Minimserver on PC vs NAS

Using minimserver on a windows 7 (i5) pc. Is there an an advantage of using minimserver on a NAS in terms of better sound quality.

Anyone compared the two?

I've compared MinimServer running on Windows PC (x86 and x64), Linux PC (x86 and x64), Mac, QNAP NAS, NETGEAR NAS, SheevaPlug, Raspberry Pi and MiraBox, and there is no difference in sound quality.
