RE: lumin u1 mini & QNAP
The device running the web browser needs to be on the same local subnet as the NAS.
I haven't used myqnapcloud and I don't know if the MinimServer configuration page can be accessed this way. I will try to find out more about how myqnapcloud works. Are you accessing the NAS across the internet? |

RE: lumin u1 mini & QNAP
From what I have been able to find, you should be able to set up port forwarding on the router for port 9790 to enable you to access the MinimServer configuration page via myqnapcloud.
Doing this is risky! The http connection across the internet to the configuration page would be insecure (not using https) and everything you send across this connection could be read by other parties. Also, other parties could use this insecure connection to access the MinimServer configuration page. |

Yes, I am accessing the NAS across the internet via myqnapcloud.com. I will try to access via local IP today as soon as I get back home and I will let you know. |

RE: lumin u1 mini & QNAP
Hi Simon, yesterday at home I entered qnap with the home IP (not myqnapcloud) and via the MinimServer app accessed the web page and got the 30 days free trial. Instantly the lumin app found the MinimServer and the outcome was remarkable. I am not going to use port forwarding for security reasons. Thanks
