Multiple room streaming

Hi there -

Have just had opportunity to upgrade from MinimServer 0.8 -> 2.0.18 via Synology NAS.

Is it possible to stream to multiple devices simultaneously, to obtain multi-room audio?

It seems not, from search of forum.... and if not, is that something that might be possible in future?

This can't be done by the server alone. The renderers in different rooms need to synchronise playback very precisely, much more precisely than can be done with standard HTTP streaming.

Linn Songcast is an open architecture for doing this synchonisation. It is implemented by Linn renderers and also by the upmpdcli renderer. Other proprietary synchronised multiroom systems are available.

Thanks for quick reply.... will take a look to see what other systems might serve the purpose
