Using app with minimserver

RE: Using app with minimserver
Comtrend modelv1-3223u is router : could be that manual has something about snoopy option, but on the software panel of the provider there was no snooping feature to see.
All start over router, receiver, Phone again, but no minimserver on app to see yet.

I disconnected the tv , chanced some ports on the back of the router and get a error message : no Upnp media server found
Can it be that the computer itself is blocking a signal from router ?

RE: Using app with minimserver
Yes, this might be the issue if your firewall settings are blocking inbound M-SEARCH messages. These are sent using UDP multicast on port 1900. You need to have a firewall rule that allows TCP and UDP inbound connections on all ports to be received by the Java runtime.

RE: Using app with minimserver
Thanks
I just scanned the network with the avg virus protection softwware for the router comtrend
It found the Marantz M-CR612 melody x receiver and smart tv 40ax
There is a port with services ssdp-port 1900 with udp transportprotocol for Marantz ( also for smart tv )
Also the same for PC

There is no 1900 port for udp , but port 53 and 67 for udp on router

If bypass for temporarily the avg software , then the minimserver has no firewall blocking ?..i test it out now

RE: Using app with minimserver
The port "ssdp-port 1900 with udp transportprotocol" needs to be open on your PC for MinimServer to be able to receive and respond to M-SEARCH messages.

Now test with bypass virussoftware.

Tested and it seems that the virus protectionsoftware is not blocking then
I read also something about blocking signal by a java application ?

RE: Using app with minimserver
Well opening the 1900 port on windows 10 is not that simple
https://www.schoonepc.nl/nieuwsbrief/poo...etten.html

Its about portforwarding , so the minimserver has to be have a IP-adress, yes it is a server

RE: Using app with minimserver
Are you using the Windows 10 firewall or some other antivirus software? If it is some other software, what software is it?

I am using AVG internet security and by using this there is no need of windows firewall anymore ( so it is set off automatically)

RE: Using app with minimserver
I found this page. The setting "Allow multicast traffic" needs to be enabled. Do you have this enabled?

You might also need to enable UDP port 1900 in your packet rules (see this page).

Thats the right information for AVG anti virus.
It is mserver.jar for the firewall options and located in the startup folder.?
Still try to figuring out ...
All 5 light are lit for approved connections , but now the package rules for ports and adress ?
No minim sever showing up in app screen ..

I did not all... to be continued ..
