Media indexing - is Synology's service required?
Does MinimServer 2 on Synology NASes require Synology's Indexing Service or handles indexing on its own?

MinimServer doesn't use the Synology indexing service.

Luckily !!!

it takes almost one day to reindex my 7000 albums (even on a Synology DS 716+II with 6G of RAM)...
