Multiple source folders per album
I am still using 0.8.5.2 and have run into an issue that I'm surprised I haven't met before. I record a lot of my own playing and have stored them on the Mac by instrument/composer/piece. I am trying to reorganise, which includes deleting old stuff, by composer but with some pieces which won't be revised further in a subfolder called Final. So, I have several Brahms Intermezzi within composer "Brahms" and other Intermezzi in the Final subfolder. I use Metadatics to configure for my Cyrus controller and no matter what I do, it comes up with 2 identically named albums within Brahms, corresponding to the Mac folder organisation. So, for instance, two albums called "Brahms Intermezzi". I have always worked on the basis that no matter how the Mac is organised, if I allocate the same album name to pieces, they will appear in one album. Index tags are: COMPOSER,GENRE,ALBUMARTIST,TRACKTITLE,ALBUM,GROUPING

RE: Multiple source folders per album
Most people prefer two albums in different folders with the same name to be kept separate, so this is the default. To cause these to be merged (if the album name and artist information is the same), set the mergeFolderAlbums property to true.

RE: Multiple source folders per album
Many thanks, Simon. Worked with Brahms and Mendelssohn. As this is a global command I hope it doesn't upset any of the cd transfers also in the system!

You can specify exceptions to the global rule if needed. See the description of match filters in this section.
