While you are technically and legally correct, in practice, most users do not read T&Cs. And even if they have read it, they would have likely forgotten (as I did!) the expiry date.

I get the manual steps required for licensing and MinimStreamer. But can the update to MinimServer 2 be automated from an existing MinimServer instance?

I suspect that many MinimServer users rely on their NAS or Linux repositories for updates to MinimServer. While it is technically not your problem, I assume you have plans to inform your "partners" of the coming upgrades when they become available.
