Announcing MinimServer 2
MinimServer 2 will shortly be available for the new Melco EX series and for current Melco N10 and N100 models that have been updated to the 4.01 firmware. For more information about MinimServer 2, see this page.

Maybe an unwelcome change to some but my reaction is that given the excellent quality of MinimServer and the associated software the annual cost of a full licence and ongoing updates is not unreasonable. I hope sufficient other users agree with me so that the future of MinimServer will be assured. Concur and agree with previous writers. As a (fortunate) owner of a compatible Melco device, I hope the license will be offered for purchase before the expiration of my trial version.

I have a problem loading minimstreamer. I activated the trial and get error message : MinimStreamer: recording directory error: /mnt/disk1/share/recordings in the log. I can send you the full log if you need it. |

Thanks for letting me know about this. I have just released MinimStreamer 2.0.2 with a fix for this problem. If you restart MinimServer, this should install as an automatic update.

Dear Simon
I have upgraded my N100 to ver. 4.01, activated Minimserver2 and waited. The process was smooth. There is one issue I'd like to draw your attention to: After installing MinimStreamer, Minimserver2 does not successfully start but is stopped at some point. The message according to log file is: "... MinimStreamer: recording directory error: /mnt/disk1/share/recordings Startup complete" KR alfreddo12 EDIT: Nice to to see you react swiftly and successfully. Many thanks, alfreddo12 |

Is there a page with the proposed license cost? And will there be multi year or lifetime cost?
