QTS 4.4.1 apparently breaks Minim?
Hi Simon, some folk on the Wam have reported that the latest QTS update (4.4.1) is causing havoc. Are you aware of this? I don't want to update my HS-251+ just in case in breaks Minim, or anything else for that matter.

I am in the same situation as you. My only QNAP NAS that can run 4.4.1 is critically important and I don't want to take any risk with it. I need to investigate whether there is a virtualization option that I could use for testing this.

RE: QTS 4.4.1 apparently breaks Minim?
Thanks Simon. I've had a look at the QNAP downloads for my HS, and it appears there's been a reversion. But when I click Update it still refers to this seemingly dodgy build instead. Could do a manual install of 4.3.6.1070 I suppose, but I don't see the point?

I updated my QNAP HS-251+ to 4.4.1.1064 yesterday without any problems at all.

RE: QTS 4.4.1 apparently breaks Minim?
I upgrade to 4.4.1 on a TS-251+ and MinimServer was fine.

I was also messing around with KazooServer trying to find a solution to Linn ceasing support for IFTTT and found I could not get KazooServer working. Saw the post on the Linn Wam forum and I downgraded my QNAP to 4.3.6 and KazooServer works fine as does MinimServer.

So MinimServer didn't appear to have the same issue as KazooServer

timster > my updated HS-251+ does not "see" the new 4.3.6.1070 version. I think it is just an update for those who do not follow to 4.4.1.

How can you not follow 4.4.1? There's no option as far as I can see.
Anyway - I'll wait a few days and see. Someone on the Wam did say it broke his, but that may be a different family.

The build notes for 4.4.1 indicates, that not all NAS models are supported. In that case I think you would be invited to the 4.3.6 update.

RE: QTS 4.4.1 apparently breaks Minim?
Virtualization of QTS (see my previous post) is not an option for me because of the cost of the required hardware (at least £1600).

Are those who are running MinimServer successfully on 4.4.1 using the 0.8.5.2 or 0.8.5.2.1 version of MinimServer? The 0.8.5.2.1 version was created by QNAP with no involvement from me and might be the cause of the problem.

RE: QTS 4.4.1 apparently breaks Minim?
I am running the 0.8.5.2.1. The update followed - unrequested - a Java update to 8.151.2.1.
