Not only RAID is important, what is usefull having the option of Hot Swappable, so if one HDD fails you can replace it on the fly. I guess a lot of NAS have it, but it is a nice feature.

This statement was slightly misleading. Although MinimServer doesn't access the disk while browsing, the control point is likely to be requesting album art images from the server, which would cause disk accesses. This could be a significant point in favour of SSD.
