Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

I have El Capitan OSX and loaded the latest version of Java.

I downloaded and executed the dmg file.

When I double-click on the application icon, I get the download from the web message and I click on "open". Then, nothing happens. Nothing appears on the toolbar.

I looked in my activity monitor and no Minimserver shown there.

Please see steps 4 and 5 in this section. From your post, it sounds like you might have omitted these steps. It is important to follow all the steps in the order shown.

I figured it out. It is open. The note is not on the toolbar, its on the upper bar.

Yes, the icon is in the menu bar as it says in step 8. There is also a Note at the bottom of the section explaining that MinimServer doesn't have an icon in the Dock. I will move this note up to step 8 to make things clearer. I'm glad the problem is solved.
