Thanks for the log-files. The restart log-file shows clearly that inotifywait works fine (at least in the case of manually copying a file), but obviously there is a problem with the Auto Restart package retrieving the status from MinimServer.

It would be very interesting now if
Code:
echo restart > /volume/@tmp/minimstdinpipe
from the console works in that it restarts the running MinimServer. Please do this test, too. Thanks!

I'm from Austria, but please keep the public conversation in English so that other users are able to benefit.

It should be
Code:
echo restart > /volume1/@tmp/minimstdinpipe

Thanks for doing these tests. I think that the problem is due to a race condition which comes into effect with the weak hardware of your NAS.
I will provide you with a test build which attempts to fix this soon.

RE: Auto Restart package for Synology users
Please try it with the attached package. This is a quick fix and it may not work. If it doesn't work, I will make a redesign of the status request part.
Please do the following:
1) Uninstall the 0.1 Auto Restart package.
2) Reboot your NAS.
3) Install the 0.1a Auto Restart package.
4) Repeat the test with one file in the test directory.

EDIT: Please note that I've updated the first post of this thread. Please download the 0.1b package for your tests from there.

This sounds like you initialized the package installation and then bypassed the DSM lock screen during installation by a browser refresh. The installation would then have been continued in background and a newly initialized installation aborts with an error message like you mentioned. Please note that the installation can take up to a few minutes, especially installing gcc needs some time.
The fact that the package appeared in the package center indicates that your firstly initialized installation succeeded.

RE: Auto Restart package for Synology users
ooops
i didnt think when i posted this...sorry

you see the log included for details...
still not working.
I tried multiple times and also did some restarts...
one time when i copied a file to the watched dir it worked, i could see this because the minimwatch icon turned bright and green again - indicating minimserver did a restart...
and the file also popped up on my android client..
i dont know whats the problem...
