What Console?
MinimServer 0.8.4, Win 7 Enterprise

I installed Java and MinimServer as per instructions.

MinimServer is up and running, the System Tray icon is green.

The user guide says that MinimServer can be controlled "using console commands".

What console? Where is it?

(I did go to Control Panel > Java and enabled "Show console" as well as "Place Java icon in system tray"; I also restarted, just to be sure, but I got no Java icon in the System Tray, nor do I see any Java console.)

RE: What Console?
The MinimServer console isn't the same as the Java console.

For details of how to use the MinimServer console, see this section and this page.

To launch the MinimServer console on Windows, do the following:

1) Open a Windows command prompt window
2) Enter the command: cd "C:\Program Files\MinimServer\lib"
3) Enter the command: java -jar mserver.jar --set watch.view=console

This will not show a green tray icon. If you want this in addition to a console window, you can run MinimWatch.

RE: What Console?
Here's the reply:

Code:
Unable to delete file C:\Users\[...]\AppData\Roaming\MinimServer\tmp\native\ohNet.dll

I guess that wasn't supposed to happen...

Anyway, I checked the path, and there are two files there, ohNet.dll and ohNetJni.dll.

RE: What Console?
This would happen if you are running another graphical instance of MinimServer at the same time.

If you want to use a console to control a running graphical instance of MinimServer, you should use the mscript command. To run this, do the following:

1) Open a Windows command prompt window
2) Enter the command: "C:\Program Files\MinimServer\bin\mscript.cmd" -i

To see a list of available commands, type 'help' at the prompt.
