Minimwatch - Grey Icon - IP : port seems not linked to Minimserver
Hello,

Miniserver play on Synology 414j with bubbleupnp, it is OK and Minimwatch stay grey on pc microsoft 7 connected wireless with, I've read the log :

MinimWatch 0.8.4 update 52, Copyright © 2012-2017 Simon Nash. All rights reserved.
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_144-b01)
Java HotSpot™ Client VM (build 25.144-b01, mixed mode)
Platform default charset is windows-1252
Active subnet is 192.168.1.0
Startup complete
Retrying monitor subscription for server at 'IP':9791 (attempt 1)
Retrying monitor subscription for server at 'IP':9791 (attempt 2)
Retrying monitor subscription for server at 'IP':9791 (attempt 3)
.....

Minimserver's adress on synology is http://IP:9790/ (both 'IP' is the same) I guess this difference is the cause of the non-action of the Minimwatch. But it seems no way to correct this.

Any advice ?

Many Thanks

Jean De Meyer

RE: Minimwatch - Grey Icon - IP : port seems not linked to Minimserver
MinimServer uses port 9790 for HTTP and port 9791 to communicate with MinimWatch.

These error messages mean that something (perhaps a firewall) is blocking communication between MinimServer and MinimWatch.

Found right now the same messages in log after fresh install of Windows 10 and Java 8 v151. Found that the network connection was of type 'public' and after switching to 'private' Java was not blocked anymore and MimimWatch started to work immediately. Hope, that helps. Martin
