MinimServer crash with Linn Kazoo client
After successfully setting the genre of a very stubborn .mp4-podcast file I have now MinimServer crashing with a Null pointer exception as soon as I reopen Linn Kazoo. It looks like Kazoo is still trying to retrieve the last view (which was either 'Genre --> unknown' or 'Genre', I'm not absolutely sure about this), and as that path no longer exists (me having eliminated the last 'unknown' member), causes the crash. I have not updated Kazoo for several days.
I'm attaching a log file (Level: Trace). How can I help i tracking that bug? Is this something you can fix, or do I report it to Linn? MinimServer 0.8.4.5 update 104 - QNAP TS-451+ - QTS 4.3.3.0262 - Java 1.8.0_131-b11 Kazoo 4.11.240 (App Store variant) - Mac OS X 10.11.6 (15G1611) (El Capitan) Thanks for any help, and kind regards Victor |

RE: MinimServer crash with Linn Kazoo client
Looks like the Attachment didn't make it, I'm trying again. (Guess I didn't press the 'Add Attachment' button after selecting the file...).

RE: MinimServer crash with Linn Kazoo client
Kazoo and PlugPlayer on iOS work, as does Kazoo on my Mac after I threw away my ~/Preferences/Containers/uk.co.linn.KazooMac folder and restarted Kazoo.
Maybe I wasn't precise enough about my intentions. Getting Kazoo to work again was never the problem. Instead, I wanted to point out that there is a possibility that a request from Kazoo can crash the server. As this could happen anytime (i.e., to my wife while using it), I wanted to find out if this is due to an error in Kazoo, which should be corrected by Linn, or in MinimServer, which would be addressed by Simon. So my issue was actually about increasing the overall stability of the system. Which is quite egoistic, of course, because the rest of my family would not be able to troubleshoot such an issue, but instead have me fix it... ;-) Cheers, Victor |

MinimServer should report an error rather than crashing and this will be fixed in the next MinimServer update. |

RE: MinimServer crash with Linn Kazoo client
This problem is now fixed in MinimServer update 105. Instead of a crash, there is a warning message.
