Minimwatch crashes after resuming from suspend in Debian stretch
After uprgrading from Debian jessie to stretch, Minimwatch crashes when my laptop resumes from suspend after closing the lid. Notice that when suspend is called from the xfce4 log out menu, no error occurs. After the crash, Minimwatch can be restarted regularly by double clicking the Minimwatch icon. The short crash log is:

Quote:MinimWatch crash dump, produced at 20170726-004751.557

Unexpected exception java.lang.ClassCastException: sun.awt.image.BufImgSurfaceData cannot be cast to sun.java2d.xr.XRSurfaceData

The full crash log is attached.

RE: Minimwatch crashes after resuming from suspend in Debian stretch
This is a Java bug that is fixed in JDK 9. To try the fix, do the following:

1) Exit MinimWatch

2) Download the file MinimWatch-0.8.4.7-linux-intel.tar.gz from this page

3) From a Terminal window, use the minimwatch/bin/update command to update your MinimWatch installation to version 0.8.4.7

4) Download the latest JDK 9 early access build from this page

5) Install JDK 9 as your default Java runtime

6) Launch MinimWatch from the desktop icon
