Transcoding flac to wav

I have set MinimServer (0.8.4, extended via MinimStreamer 0.6.2) to transcode flac to wav. The renderer is upmpdcli. Both Minimserver and upmpdcli run on the same AMD G-T40E 2 cores computer. I was expecting that transcoding would yield some more cpu load but I cannot see any new process or MinimServer taking more cpu load, no matter whether I am replaying 16/44.1 or 24/192 files. Is there a way to check that transcoding actually works? Thanks, Nicola

Most UPnP renderers and control points will show you the audio format and audio information of the currently playing track.

Another way to check is to run Linn Kinsky on Windows, right-click on a track and select Details. This will show you the audio format and audio information for the track.

Thanks Simon, it now works as expected. I can see that the codec is wav on the track information and java takes up about 10% of cpu load. Best, Nicola
