hi Simon all of a sudden I get the msg "converter not installed" although I didn't change anything to my system (W2012 Server). Minimwatch is red and I can't play music.

RE: converter not installed
There is a change in MinimStreamer 0.6.2 to check that the converter program is a valid executable (i.e., it is a program that can be run, not just a file that is present).
What do you see as the value of the stream.converter property? |

Also, you should not install ffmpeg in the MinimServer installation directory. See ths section for the recommended location. |

RE: converter not installed
thanks Simon, solved. I had installed the 64 bit version of ffmpeg but it needed to be the 32 one.

RE: converter not installed
Strangely I have started to get this error when I boot the system and run startd from rc.local. I don't get the error if I set logging to debug! There is no problem if I use minimwatch to restart.
stream.converter is set to /usr/minim/ffmpeg64/ffmpeg and this runs OK from a command prompt. My next move was to shift ffmpeg to the opt/bin directory and also add the ffmeg64 directory to PATH. This didn't help so I'll continue to dig around. |
