Minimserver does not find Sony Music Centre Control Point

thought I would update this group. First thanks for all the comments related to the
Sony Unit. I returned the unit as was not satisfied with having to do work arounds to get it to stream from Minimserver. I purchased a Yamaha and works solid. Can't be more happy!

Thanks for the update. I have sent a message to Sony customer service asking if they would be willing to provide a loan unit so that I can investigate and hopefully fix this compatibility issue.

Simon. You continue to exceed customer expectations ! Hope they send you a unit so the issue is discovered.

Sony technical support are unable to loan me a Sony device for testing purposes and they have confirmed that there is no way to run the Sony Music Center app without a Sony device. This is very disappointing and I can only recommend that MinimServer users avoid purchasing Sony equipment because of this compatibility issue.

Agreed. very short term thinking by Sony as this is an opportunity to gain from the findings.
