MinimServer for Synology router
Hi Guys,

Is there a MinimServer app which can be installed in Synology router - RT1900ac? I'm trying to setup that as music server instead of using the conventional method which is inputting Synology NAS into the router to host and stream my music files over to Lumin A1.

Much appreciated in advance!

RE: MinimServer for Synology router
Does the Package Center on this device allow applications to be installed manually from a local downloaded file?

Yes, it should be possible. Which version should I download to manually install? Ditto the java. Thanks in advance.

RE: MinimServer for Synology router
The Java8 downloads are listed on this page. I suggest you try the armv7 package.

If this works, you can try installing MinimServer using the Synology armv7 package from the Downloads page.

Will give it a try. Cheers!

RE: MinimServer for Synology router
Unfortunately, it didn't work for Synology Router RT1900ac. Any possible workaround?

RE: MinimServer for Synology router
Can you login to the router via SSH? If so, please type the following command:

grep unique /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf

and post the output here.

RE: MinimServer for Synology router
Thanks for this. It means the architecture for the router is northstarplus and it would be necessary to modify the Java8 package to change the architecture from armv7 to northstarplus. This can be done quite easily if you are OK with using the Linux 'tar' command. If you would like to try this, please send me a PM and I with reply with detailed instructions.
