dsf transcoding anomoly
My streamer only accepts pcm up to 24/192.
But when I set transcoding to dsf:wav;96 the music still plays! The control point says WAV 96kHz/24bits 6144kbps But shouldn´t it be necessary for me to specify dsf:wav24;96 Just for your info! |

RE: dsf transcoding anomoly
This is a bit surprising. I would expect the setting dsf:wav;96 to produce a 32-bit 96 kHz stream. I will check this to see what is happening.

RE: dsf transcoding anomoly
I confirm :
dsf:wav;176 works, and the control point (Lumin) says 176.4 MHz 24 bits 11.29 Mbps Renderer is a Linn Klimax |

RE: dsf transcoding anomoly
I tried the setting dsf:wav;96 with a renderer that supports 32-bit WAV. The stream is shown as WAV 96.0 kHz, 32 bits, 2 ch. If I specify dsf:wav24;96, the stream is shown as WAV 96.0 kHz, 24 bits, 2 ch.
It seems that some 24-bit renderers are automatically truncating the 32-bit samples to 24 bits. |
