Can't do timed recording
Hi Simon,
Just tried using minimstreamer for the first time. I've managed to record a stream - terrific, and added a start and finish time, just to test it. Just a few minutes later than the current time. Sadly the recording doesn't happen. I recorded using the stream id R2 (for radio 2), and added a timed recording for R3 in the format R3+1530-1545. It didn't work. So having successfully recorded radio 2, I set it to R2+1550-1600. Again no luck. Any idea what I'm doing wrong. KR Jeremy |

RE: Can't do timed recording
I should add that the logfile shows the timed recording being added.

I do see that the recording has been added, but nothing when it is due to start and nothing when it is due to end. I should add that after I originally posted I set the timer for more than 40 minutes ahead... and it worked. Apologies for the double post - I had a trigger finger and before I knew it had posted twice - I really don't know how. KR Jeremy |

I have been successful when setting the start time to 1 or 2 minutes ahead. I don't know why setting the start time to more than 40 minutes ahead would make a difference, unless the time on your computer/NAS clock is significantly ahead of real time. |

RE: Can't do timed recording
I did make sure that the time of my PC and NAS were synch'd.
Will try again over the coming days and report any anomalies. KR Jeremy |

RE: Can't do timed recording
Hi Both
I have just tried the recording of a radio stream . I had the same problem with the time function. I think this is a BST problem Both my Synology and the PC are showing BST But looking at the log the files are timestamped an hour early -- see attachment The first 3 were manual with no time setting though I had tried 2 timed recordings The 4th recording is with the time set 1 hour earlier than it should have been. Hope this helps Mike |

Would you be willing to try a test build with a fix for this problem? If so, please confirm which DSM level you are running and which model of Synology you have. Many thanks! |
