Still no luck.. Seems like I shall have to accept defeat. Thanks to everyone who has tried to help

One last thing, have you gone through the whole Naim setup instructions again from start to finish and checked it all? For instance, I don't think I've seen you mention the stream.converter setting which should contain ffmpeg or avconv.

Stream converter says "ffmpeg". Is that right?

Should be. Simoncn may have suggestions for other checks.
