I've updated Minimstreamer and made an .m3u playlist containing your BBC URLs above. These show in my Naim control app, eg as [R3] BBC Radio 3, but won't play on my NDS. Is there something else I should be doing?

It seems that Naim streamers can't play ADTS AAC streams served by MinimServer. This might be caused by a MIME type mismatch but I can't find any information on this.

The stream will play if you transcode it to L16. To do this, add the 'aac' stream type to the playlist entry, for example:

#EXTINF:-1,[*R3;aac] BBC Radio 3
http://a.files.bbci.co.uk/media/live/manifesto/audio/simulcast/hls/uk/sbr_high/ak/bbc_radio_three.m3u8

and add the following to the stream.transcode property:

aac:L16

After making these changes, do a MinimServer rescan and clear the Naim app's UPnP cache.

Thank you Simon.
It works!
Showing as PCM 48kHz 1536kb/s.
May I share this on the Naim forum?
Best wishes
Ray

I tried all of this and it isn't working for me on my Naim Unitiqute 2. Did you mean clear the app's image cache Simon? Also, do I just add the .m3u file to my Nas drive? It is showing as a playlist but nothing happens when I select a station...

Hope you don't mind me replying.
The clear UPnP cache is rather hidden in the Naim app menu.
Settings:Input settings:UPnp:Clear UPnP cache

Many thanks RK, I have tried that now too and still nothing! I guess I will have to see if Naim pull their fingers out and get it sorted...just another thing in the long list of moans about the Naim app since they "updated" it!
