Special Index Tag #AudioQuality
I want to use this tag but am not shure what's behindert the values:
HD, CD+, CD, CD-, LC.

What is the difference between HD and CD+ ?
What is CD- ?

Regards Rainer

HD is lossless and 24/88200 or better
CD+ is lossless and better than 16/44100
CD is lossless and exactly 16/44100
CD- is lossless and worse than 16/44100
LC is lossy compression

Is it possible to merge the CD+ and HD categories?

I don't think 16/48000 should be in the same category as 24/192000.

Neither do I but I would class all 24bit audio as HD. Is there a way to customize this?

The categories are not customizable.

I think it might be reasonable to put all 24-bit files (44.1 kHz and above) into the HD category.

This would leave 16/48000, 20/44100 and 16/88200 (etc.) in the CD+ category.

What do other users think about this change?

+1 ... I vote: yes.

It's a yes from me of course. Or maybe there is a way to show a difference between flac 16 and 24 bit under the audio format option.

Changing the bit depth or sample rate doesn't change the audio format, so it wouldn't be appropriate to add this information to the #AudioFormat index.

RE: Special Index Tag #AudioQuality
Hello. I have a question, in which category would a DSD (DSF) file show up? i.e. DSD64 and DSD128? Would they show up in HD?

Thanks.
