RE: ReplayGain
You can download the ffmpeg 3.4.1 armhf build from this page and install it on the Melco. I have just tried this and it works on the Melco. Earlier versions from the same site (tried a few months ago) were not working.

RE: ReplayGain
Hi Simon,
Any idea on how you install this on a Windows pc? Always get the error message "converter not installed correct highlighted value an retry" when using ffmpeg as streamconverter. |

RE: ReplayGain
The simplest way is to download an ffmpeg static binary for Windows and put the ffmpeg.exe file in the MinimServer opt/bin directory as described in this section.

RE: ReplayGain
I know I seem to be the only person using MediaMonkey on the forum, but in case somebody else does too.
You can use Analyze Volume under Tools to set the Track and Album gain for any selected tracks/albums. You can of course select your entire library. Thank you Simon for working out how to get MinimServer to recognize gain offsets. RE: ReplayGain
I have been following this here and also on the Linn forum and I am considering giving it a try. Is there a definitive set of instructions to follow as I want to make sure I only set a tag and not convert my files?

But on a PC, use dBPoweramp (you need to install the Replay Gain Utility Codec (https://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-utility.htm). Select the files(s) you want to apply the tag to, and then select Convert. In the Converting To.. drop down select ReplayGain. Choose Album or Track. Leave the value to default. And off it goes. |

RE: ReplayGain
And just to be clear, do NOT use Replay Gain (Apply) - that's the one the applies to gain to the file.

I have dbpoweramp and I have downloaded the codec. I see the option in the batch conversion and I will do a test on a folder. I am a bit confused by your last comment above as I don’t see this option. Am I missing something? Bill. |
