ReplayGain
Hi,
Just a suggestion, would it be possible to add ReplayGain to transcoded audio files? I know this feature appears on at least one of the (inferior) rival audio servers, but MinimServer is my preferred choice and ReplayGain would be a very welcome extra.
Kind regards,
Hayden

Thanks for the suggestion. At the moment, I don't have any plans to add support for this.

RE: ReplayGain
Hi Simon,
Thanks for considering it anyway and thanks again for the excellent MinimServer.

Kind regards,
Hayden

RE: ReplayGain
Another vote for replay gain if it counts for anything. I find playlists are unworkable without it.

thanks

I'd like to clarify exactly what you are voting for. Do you want MinimServer to perform ReplayGain processing as part of transcoding or do you want MinimServer to copy ReplayGain tags from the source file to the transcoded stream?

I think I want the former. I want to have volume equalised via my replay gain tags so that when a track from a 1980s CD is followed by one from 2014 that I don't have to jump up and turn down the volume.

I use a Naim streamer which does not process the replay gain tags.

I appreciate the reply.

regards
John.

In that case, the answer is the same as previously given. At the moment, I don't have any plans to add support for this.

That's a pity but once again thanks for the prompt replies.

+1 ... I would like to add my vote, as well (for processing during transcoding). Playlists really are difficult without it.

+1 for me as well.

What would make you change your mind/priorities?
