Album Missing in Control Points

Album Missing in Control Points
Hi all,
I recently downloaded the two albums from the November Society of Sound subscription downloads. I have been doing this every month for the past couple of years.
From Windows Explorer I can see both files are:
Type: AIFF Format Sound
Sample Rate: 96 KHz
Sample Size: 24 bit

One album shows up in my control points and one album does not.

I am running
Miminserver on a Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 workstation
I have three Control Points
Linn Kinsky Vesrion 4.4.5.0 on the same Windows 10 workstation
Linn Kazoo Version 4.11.240 on the same Windows 10 workstation
BubbleUPNP Version 2.8.14 on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2
I have a
Linn Akurate DS running software version 4.59.185
Linn Konfig says it is up to date; Software Update Available = None

I have these two downloads in one folder on the Windows 10 workstation.
This is the only folder Minimserver is currently reading for music.

If I look at the Minimserver log it shows both directories are scanned without any errors.

The first download (alphabetically) in the folder shows up in all three control points and the second download does not show up in any of my control points.

Can anyone help me understand why one download appears and one does not?

Anyway to correct this?

Thank you,
Chip

RE: Album Missing in Control Points
Try setting the MinimServer logging level to Debug. This will show you whether the individual files in the folder are being scanned.

Hi,
I have changed the log to Debug and attached the file for your review.
It looks like the files are being scanned.
I do not see any errors but I hope you can tell me what is wrong.

RE: Album Missing in Control Points
Only had a quick look and I'm definately not familar with aif files.
Are you sure all your controlpoints do treat ".aif" and ".aiff" in an equal manner?
It's likely, similar to ".jpg", ".jpeg" but perhaps that's something to try first.

Hi,
In my complete library I have both aif and aiff files that have always shown up in the control points.
Society of Sound monthly downloads usually have one download in aif and one in aiff files.
This is the first time I have not seen the downloads in my control points.

Hi all,
I added two more downloads to my scan folder.
Now I have two downloads in aif format and two downloads in aiff format.
When I look in my control points I only see three downloads.
One in aif and two in aiff formats.

This leads me to believe the control points can recognize both aif and aiff formats.

I have attached the debug log from the four downloads.

Still looking for an answer,
Chip

RE: Album Missing in Control Points
In both cases it seems that the files in Mammal Hands/Shadow Work are not being recognised as an album. This probably means there is an issue with the tags in these files. If you browse via [folder view] and [untagged], do you see the files there?

The .aif vs .aiff extension should make no difference.

Hi,
No, I do not see the files there.
I tried:
[folder view]
Music Files Work
I do not see untagged but I do see
>> Tag View
SoS 201710 uz ud (both aif and aiff show up from this folder)
SoS 201711 uz ud (only the aiff files show up from this folder)
I then select
>> Tag View
Music Files Work
3 Albums, one is missing
What in the tags can cause this problem?
I have rewritten the tags for track, Album, AlbumArtist
Any ideas?
Chip

If you browse down through [folder view] without selecting '>> Tag View', do you see the folder and files for the "missing" album?
