Melco, new firmware 3.50
Yesterday I installed the new 3.50 firmware on my Melco N1ZH 60 MKII, which came from firmware 3.21. Someone else has noticed that the sound is better, without the "restlessness" and "stress" that was heard with 3.21?

Yes, sweet isn't it. They have made the new renderer the default and it does seem to make a difference.

Melco N1ZH/2 (updated to EX) MinimServer2, Chord M Scaler, DAVE, SPM1200MKII, Wilson Benesch Vectors

A basic question, this new renderer engine in Melco, also works when sending the files by RJ45 to a, for example Lumin, or only when it sends the files by USB to a DAC?

When the Melco is sending streams over the network using server software (specifically MinimServer for most users of this forum), it is acting only as a server. The network player (Lumin, Linn DS etc.) is then the renderer; the Melco renderer is not used.

Thanks David, I thought so.
Then there must be more changes than the renderer in version 3.50, because I use Minimserver in the Melco and a Lumin A1, and frankly the sound is better now than with 3.21.
