Adding Artwork to BBC Radio streams workaround
Simon,

Firstly, wow... what fantastic software! Since the BBC stopped offering the AAC version of it's radio services I've been subjected to horrible MP3 streams on my Sonos system until tonight. A friend informed of your software and I ideally installed it and tested it, UPNP doesn't work on Sonos but HTTP streams do so that's sorted... got all the stations I want in 320kbs AAC, great.

Now, the only thing missing for me is artwork... is there any way you can embed artwork into these streams from a user definable location similar to how you would album artwork on a audio file? This would make this 100% perfect.

Thanks again for saving the day.

I am investigating a solution for this.

+1 for this which would really be icing on the cake. I'm now streaming BBC to Naim mu-so from MinimStreamer via the Naim app and changing stations is really quick.

This support is now available in MinimServer update 58. For details, see the Release notes.

My head is reeling. That's fantastic. Thank you Simon Smile

[A few minutes later] My cake is now iced. It worked as soon as I updated MinimServer and restarted.

Seems this is working for some, are these people using UPNP? I'm using a direct link, would you expect this to work? If not can it?

This is the type of link I use for streaming on Sonos:

http://192.168.0.3:9790/minimstreamer/*/...o_one.m3u8

SO CLOSE!!

You can only view this artwork in a UPnP control point.

I'm guessing this isn't something you will develop into the URL I'm using above? Would be amazing if you could

It isn't possible to do this. You would need to use a UPnP control point.

How do TuneIn do it?
