See all tags in info section of Linn Kazoo

Hi,

I'm using Linn Kazoo with Minim Server.
Kazoo has a feature to see tag info of a track.
It does show a few tags only.
Is this a limitation of Kazoo or a (configurable) feature of MinimServer?

It could be either of these, depending on which tags are "missing". The UPnP protocol allows only certain tags to be sent. What additional tag data would you like to be displayed?

Hi Simon,

thanks for the quick reply.
At the moment I'm thinking of "Mood", "Composer", "Group", "Comment".
I'm playing with Songkong and MinimServer as a team. I haven't figured out what kind of wishes all the new metadata coming via Songkong might raise.
So I'm not sure if the current idea might change and thus the ideal scenario would be if this was configurable.

Considering that your server is the best configurable server I know of this might be possible? :-)

Mood and Group can't be sent to the control point because the UPnP protocol doesn't support this.

Comment is sent to the control point by MinimServer but it isn't displayed by Kazoo.

Composer should be fine if you have it in indexTags or itemTags and you have Composer.displayRole={artist} in tagCustom.

I have that but it's not displayed by Kazoo.
So I'll ask in the Linn Forum if they can support that in the future.

I am able to see Composer information in Kazoo for iOS. To display it, touch the three squares at the right of the track, then touch Info. The composer name is shown at or near the bottom of the list.

That's where I was looking. But stupid me. I checked with 5 songs where Composer is not filled.
Found it now. Thanks.
