dff:dopwav, dsf:dopwav problem on Pioneer N70AE/Synology DS218+

Dear forum members,

I have a Pioneer N-70AE and a Synology DS218+ NAS. Installed FFMEG.

Problem: dff:dopwav, dsf:dopwav is not working (well) using latest minimserver/streamer. dsf:wav;192 is working but is not my preferred setting. .dff files can't me played yet with minimserver.

Using standard Synology mediaserver DSD files are played both in 2,8 5,6 and 11,2. Sound quality in dsf:wav;192 (minimserver) is less than in DSD (Synology).

Any suggestions what to do with this specific set up/configuration?

Unclear what you are trying to do here. If you get better results using native dsf files why are you transcoding to DoP or PCM?

Thanks for your reply. Highly appreciated. Get only these (native dsf)results using standard Synology mediaserver while I'd like to have this in Minimserver. With .dff don't get any music output both in Minimserver as Synology mediaserver.

So, if you remove dsf:dopwav and dsf:wav24;192 from stream.transcode your dsf files don't play with minimserver?

Good advise! Now all .dsf files play native. Same with .dff 5.6 BUT not with 2.8. Have no 11.2 .dff files to test.

Well thats good news. You can try converting your dff files to dsf with this utility:

To see if that helps the files that won't play.
